Luxury Suites
Comfortable, mid-size luxury suites with plenty of space to explore and a window into the reception area for those inquisitive cats who enjoy people and pet watching. Suitable for one curious kitty.
Senior Condos
For our senior guests we have horizontal accommodation all on one level, ideal for those cats who have arthritis or difficulty jumping up. As the sunniest condo's in our cattery, there are ample sunny spots for an afternoon snooze too.
Condos
Two-level accommodation with everything your cat needs, including comfortable bedding and space to move around.
Double Condo
Comfortable two-level accommodation with more horizontal space to move around, suitable for 1-2 cats.
Singles
A comfortable accommodation option for individual cats. Access to an interesting play area for enrichment and exercise.
Play space
For those in the condos and double condos we have an inviting and stimulating play area with cat towers galore and some comfy spots to watch the birds flit by. More often than not you will also find a team member in there playing around with the cats and some cat toys!
Large playroom
While staying at our Milford cattery your cat will have ample opportunity to stretch their legs, practice their pounce and indulge their curiosity in our playroom (luxury rooms, luxury suites and senior condos) with cat towers galore, a climbing wall and a view of the outside.

Admission process
On admission we will go through:
Drop off and pick up times are arranged as appointments at the time of booking. These are:
9am-2.15pm Monday to Friday,
9am-11.45am Saturday,
closed Sundays.
We will run through:
contact details,
emergency contacts,
medical conditions or medications and the
maximum treatment amount in the case of emergency.
We discuss your kitty's normal behaviours and habits, check their weight, teeth,
temperature, heart and breathing, do
a flea and microchip check and ensure
vaccinations are up to date.
Cattery FAQs
What is the cattery cost per day?
The cost for each room differs depending on which type of accommodation you choose and how many cats will be staying. Call our friendly team at Animates Vetcare Milford for more information.
Are there any specific requirements before my cat is admitted?
All cats will need to be up to date with their vaccinations and in good general health. Please call the caring team at Animates Vetcare Milford to discuss your cat's specific requirements.
How are the cats housed in the cattery?
Every catizen will enjoy comfortable bedding, clean water bowls and litter trays, nutritious food, and plenty of affection and attention from our cattery staff. Every day, each cat no matter what level of accommodation they are in will be able to spend time in a play space to stretch their legs and indulge their curiosity.
What will my cat be fed?
We supply superior nutrition dry adult cat food to all cats. If your kitty is on a prescription diet, wet food or kitten food, this will need to be brought in from home when your cat comes for their holiday.
Can I bring my cat's favorite toys, bedding, or special items during their stay?
Yes, you can, however if these get soiled, they will need to be washed and can be hard to track down. We recommend leaving precious items at home.
My cat is on medication, can you give this?
We can administer most medications, however it is best to check with us first as some need to be given at specific times which may be outside of our operating hours.
How do you handle emergency situations or medical needs during a cat's stay?
As our cattery is in the Animates Vetcare Milford vet clinic, we catch on to signs of illness quickly and have the ability to treat most issues in house. All cats have a health check by a nurse on admission to the cattery.
Will my cat be with other cats?
Each cat has their own comfortable accommodation space so they can have ample rest time. During the day there is an opportunity for every cat to spend time in a playroom on a rotation basis, ensuring everyone has equal time for playing! Unless they are housed together in multi cat household accommodation, cats will be let out individually and will not mix with other cats.
How often do you check the cats?
Everyone is checked once in the morning and once in the afternoon each day. We also sometimes spend our lunch breaks playing with the cats! We record their eating, drinking, urinating and defaecating every day and weigh them every 3 days.
